Of course, since the trip seemed to be going off without a hitch, that would naturally all go south very quickly. My flight from Austin was severely delayed due to “weather”. So I missed my connecting flight to Palm Beach, which happened to be the last fight out of the night.
Lovely.
So my only alternative was to fly out tomorrow morning. That means spending the night in Houston. .... Not a huge tragedy in he grand scheme. Although, they refused to release my luggage, so I am stuck here with my purse, the clothes on my back and my laptop. What to do? Drown my sorrows in the hotel lounge over a few glasses of Pinot Grigio and a Caesar salad.
At this point, my journey from SXSW is almost comical. Right down to the Jesus Jones song that was playing in the hotel bar. Comical, people....comical.
