I had high hopes of entering 2008 with organized collected grace.  I made it as far as the organized part, sort of.  The rest are, as I am finding out, things that will require much practice.  And perhaps a little assistance from blended cocktails.  New years was extremely uneventful for me, and I prefer it that way.  I’ve always disliked the pressure of that holiday and after Christmas and a birthday for a 2 year old, new years was low on my to do list.  Although the champagne portion was of interest, I was in my pajamas in bed watching Dick Clarks’ corpse mouth some words about the new year while Ryan Seacrest delivered his cheesy yet chipper speeches and interviews. 

This year is already proving to be a busy one.  My schedule is officially packed to the gills through spring, we have some stuff coming up on The Moxie Girls front and I have some things for Safe Mama cookin’.  Joelle and I were asked to do ChickChat Radio which we’re excited about.  Heidi and Lara are long time clients so we’re happy to have to chance to join them on January 9th to chat.  We also booked, as Joelle has mentioned, our flights for SXSW this year and although our panel wasn’t slated for this years event, we are psyched to get to be going together.  I am more happy to get a couple days to be child free, even though I start missing him as soon as I get to the airport.  But fun will be had, cocktails will be consumed and merriment is inevitable. 

On the Safe Mama front, I hope to get a chance somehow to design it and expand it a little.  Also, I’ve been asked to do an interview on Motherhood Uncensored to talk about Bisphenol-A in formula and sippy cups.  I’m not sure when the podcast will be up but it all goes down on january 16th.
