Nothing remotely interesting or humorous occurred to me today (unless you consider trimming hedges interesting) so instead I’ll extend my congratulations to my brother in-law. He among many, ran in todays New York City Marathon. He is a habitual long distance runner and a speedy one at that, and finished the race in 2 hours 58 minutes and 15 seconds, placing him in the overall place of #679 and #633 in Men’s. That’s within the top 1000 out of 37,869 people who finished the race. I’d call that impressive.
Running the marathon would take me about 4 days to complete since I have the running endurance of a tortoise. I can walk for days, but running I royally suck at. So I admire his persistence and stamina to get through the race and finish with such a great time. This is his second year in a row running the New York City Marathon… so cheers to that!

Big Congrats to your Brother! I hate running with a passion. I have no motivation, and actually get a very big mental block. It is something I have to overcome. I blame my laziness on that.

WOW! That IS impressive. I would love to be able to say I have done one...but that will probably never happen.

I never want to run that long unless I’m being chased by something that wants to, and can, eat me. Impressive? Yes, but also puzzling.

Very cool. I ran my first and last marathon in October 19th. Like most things, I didn’t understand the full meaning of what it meant when people said they ran a marathon until I did it myself. When I saw the finish line, I broke down and cried. I know… I’m such a girl.

What the...? Sorry about that. It gave me an error message, so I posted again. Oops.
