It is totally unacceptable to leave a perfectly good blog unattended for so long.  What brings me out of hiding?  Well, I’ll tell you.  Today is my best friend‘s birthday.  And she lives too far away for me to properly help her celebrate it so in lieu of taking her out to dinner and martinis I’ll be calling her at a respectable hour to wish her well and pray that the other half of the present I got her arrives tomorrow. 

Being in business with a friend is not something everyone can do.  But for over 5 years we’ve managed to put our friendship first and work second, and she has always been a great friend to me even though I’ve probably tested her patience more than 57 times.  She still loves my dumb ass.  So… Happy Birthday to my best friend Joelle!  I hope today is filled with goodies and martinis the way a proper birthday should be.
