We’ve been up in Delaware visiting family for an extended weekend.  My lovely sister in-law is expecting her first baby this June and her baby shower was this weekend.  I’m going to be an aunt!  On Friday night we were all hanging around and I hear the Mister bellow from the next room, “Baby!! Your book is on AMAZON!”.

Here is where a rush of goosebumps came over me and my stomach twisted into a nice Windsor knot.  We all ran over to the computer and there it was… The IT Girls Guide to Blogging with Moxie.  Staring up at me from a page on Amazon.com ready for pre-ordering. It’s out there.  People will be buying it, and reading it, and forming opinions about it. I could panic and worry but instead, I am proud and anxious to get the last of our manuscript submitted.  We’ve worked hard so far on the content we’ve provided and even though we’ve had some late nights and stress with deadlines, it has been a really fun process.  Considering I am writing this with my partner and best friend… I can’t complain one bit. We’ve enjoyed the new challenge and we work so well together is disgusting.

We’ve had the pleasure of writing our book almost in tandem with our buddy Lisa Sabin-Wilson who is writing WordPress for Dummies, which has been cool.  We have our own little support system here!  I can’t wait to get Lisa’s book because I so need help in the WordPress department.

So there it is… “proud” doesn’t seem to cover it but I am.  Of our book and of us.
